Our
projects.

An important part of our musical work involves researching the epoch-specific background and developing new compositions.

Together with theologians, we explore old works and contemporary pieces, as well as their interpretation in a contemporary context.

International.

With our musical interpretations, we create a space of emotionality and intercultural dialog that transcends national borders.

Our 2019 performance abroad at Westminster Abbey in London was soon followed by a concert tour of England, Scotland and Wales. Organized by Cameron Grimes and his agency "Augustine Noble Ltd", we performed at renowned concert venues such as Durham Cathedral, Kings College London and Windsor Castle.

As the official cultural ambassador of the city of Ansbach, we consider ourselves fortunate to be able to represent our Central Franconian homeland beyond the regional borders. In July 2023, we gladly accepted the invitation to enrich the 55th anniversary of the partnership between Ansbach and Anglet with our musical performance.
We want to continue to share our love of music with the world.

Choral music in a new light.

Sonat Vox faced a special challenge with the video production of the works "Agnus Dei" and "So God loved the world".

As part of the a cappella recording "Transzendenz", traditional choral music was presented in a new light in cooperation with Bayerischer Rundfunk.

To achieve this, elements such as black light and atmospheric background design were integrated into the video production. This artistic approach extends our music beyond the usual concert environment and enables a new experience of musical transcendence.

Regional treasures.

The aim of the project is to make compositions by regional artists accessible to a wide audience by bringing them closer to the original performance practice.

In November 2022, the Sonat Vox chamber ensemble recorded previously unpublished works by the renowned Nuremberg composer Johann Pachelbel on CD in cooperation with Bayerischer Rundfunk - the compositions were thus recorded for the first time.

Following the recording, the first concert in this series was performed in our Middle Franconian home town of Ansbach. Further performances and productions are planned.

An accompanying introductory video provides a deeper insight behind the scenes of the recordings.

The sound of solidarity.

Our "Klang der Verbundenheit" project series focuses on concerts and productions dedicated to the themes of folk songs and Romanticism.

It began with our first CD production of secular songs, accompanied by a horn quartet, string ensemble and fortepiano.

The recording contains a varied selection of folk choral movements by composers such as Anton Bruckner and Franz Schubert. The focus is on typical romantic motifs such as love, the forest, closeness to home and nature, as well as the opposites of longing, separation and loneliness.

After our first CD and accompanying concerts, you can look forward to further planned productions under the motto "Sound of solidarity".

Architects of Music.

The "Architects of Music" association supports children and young people from the villages of Uganda, giving them access to school education and promoting their artistic talents.

In Uganda, school education is not a matter of course. Many children are unable to attend school without financial support. Through access to music, the association supports the children and gives them a sense of community and security.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the association's financial reserves have been reduced and there are not enough instruments for the growing school family.

It is a project close to our hearts to support the association with a fundraising campaign by sending unused instruments from Germany to Kampala. Our goal is a long-term cooperation and cultural exchange between Architects of Music and Sonat Vox.

You too can make a valuable contribution by giving your unwanted instruments a new purpose or sponsoring a child.

Your help can make a lasting difference to the lives of children in Uganda.

Tumult and tessitura.

As part of the "ClubKunst" project series, a crossover production between 1 FC Nuremberg and Sonat Vox was created in summer 2023.

Traditional songs of the soccer club were recorded in new compositions with percussion and cello in order to elevate them to a new level of experience through atmospheric choral sounds.

In addition, a music video for the club anthem "the legend lives" was produced together with the FCN fan camp and published on the social media platforms of 1. FC Nürnberg and SONAT VOX.
